What to Expect

When you contact Alabama Lifestyle Medicine, we will first schedule an initial appointment, be it telemedicine or in-person.

Upon discussion, Dr. Gudel may order lab work and imaging, if needed.

We will cooperate with you to formulate an actionable and sustainable treatment plan, placing you in the driver’s seat of the vehicle of your own health journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Insurance may be used for both lab work and imaging services. However, Dr. Gudel has negotiated low rates on both for her patients. In order to safeguard the physician/patient relationship and to provide individualized care, Dr. Gudel does not accept insurance for medical visits. This enables Dr. Gudel to spend more time with patients, and to provide more comprehensive care than is typically offered.

Lifestyle medicine involves the evidence-based prevention, treatment and reversal of disease by utilizing six pillars, which are: a whole plant-based diet, restorative sleep, regular physical activity, positive social connections, stress management, and avoidance of risky substances.

Lifestyle medicine is highly versatile and can be used to prevent and treat a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional issues.

The six pillars of lifestyle medicine are a whole plant-based diet, restorative sleep, regular physical activity, positive social connections, stress management and avoidance of risky substances.

Lifestyle medicine enhances but does not replace primary care. One would still need to visit their primary care for sutures, sprains and fractures, skin biopsies, etc. If you have a question as to whether we can take care of your health issue, please email info@ALlifestylemed.com!

Dr. Gudel unfortunately cannot currently see Medicare or Medicare age-eligible patients. We hope that will change in the future, and if so we will make that announcement on the website.
